Shovel – Gear
Starter tool given to every player. Permanently deletes a planted crop or individual fruit to free a slot, and is key for Variant Farming on multi-harvest plants: shovel away non-Silver / non-Gold fruit so new fruit can roll better variants under sprinklers.

Tip
Always check the tooltip says the fruit name (e.g. “Potato Fruit”), not the plant name, before clicking — removing the plant is permanent. Because regrow time is slower after shovelling, focus Variant Farming on high-value options like Potato or Cherry.
