Garden Horizons NPCs

Learn when to buy seeds from Bill, what to invest in at Molly’s shop, how to bulk sell safely with Steve, and how Maya’s IGMA research requests work during the event.

Four rules that prevent expensive mistakes

  • Bill’s shop restocks on a fixed 5-minute timer, while weather changes are random — they are not synchronized.
  • If you’re chasing mutation chains, don’t only think in seed rarity — align purchases with weather windows and mutation triggers instead.
  • Before a bulk sell run, favorite your keepers with Molly’s ⭐ tool — Steve will auto-skip favorited crops.
  • IGMA tasks are usually “mutation + minimum weight (kg)”. Sprinklers help you hit weight targets — check gear before investing.

All NPCs

Bill

Bill · Seed Seller

Town Square – Seed Shop

Overview

  • Primary seed vendor for everything from Common crops to Legendary options.
  • Shop inventory refreshes every 5 minutes on a fixed timer — check the countdown before leaving town.
  • Restocks are fully separate from weather changes, so seed timing and planting weather must be planned independently.
  • Hover price text to see exact Shilling costs when values are shortened.
Molly

Molly · Tool & Gear Vendor

Town Square – Gear Shop

Overview

  • Central vendor for tools, infrastructure, and automation upgrades.
  • Gear shop inventory also refreshes every 5 minutes, following the same fixed timer as Bill’s seed shop.
  • Sells everything from Watering Cans to the Super Sprinkler, which boosts growth and fruit size.
  • Favoriting Tool (2-pack, 80,000 Shillings) marks crops with a ⭐ so you can safely run bulk sells.
  • Stacking sprinklers (Basic, Turbo, Super) helps reach weight targets for events like IGMA.
  • Molly removes her goggles when you talk to her — a small visual detail you might notice in town.
Steve

Steve · Crop Buyer & Valuator

Town Square – Buyer

Overview

  • Buys your harvested crops and shows their value before purchase.
  • Bulk sell sessions automatically skip ⭐ favorited crops, protecting high-value fruits.
  • Hover shortened values (for example 26.4k) to see exact Shilling amounts before committing.
  • Processes your entire inventory at once, so favorite first, then sell is the safest routine.
Maya

Maya · Botanist — IGMA Researcher

IGMA Event Area

Overview

  • Event NPC from IGMA who researches mutated crops and issues “mutation + minimum weight” collection tasks.
  • Rewards IGMA Seed Packs that contain five new exclusive plants tied to the event.
  • You can turn in multiple matching fruits — their weights add up, so one oversized fruit is not required.
  • Typical requests include lines like “1.5 kg Sandy” or “0.8 kg Shocked”, and a research counter appears after the first delivery.
Rosalind

Rosalind · Mutated Weather Agent

IGMA Head Platform — above Seed Shop

Overview

  • Leads the Mutated Weather event from the IGMA head platform above the Seed Shop, arriving by helicopter with two other agents.
  • During event windows, submit Strange-mutated fruits to the IGMA head for points — rarity matters: common=1, uncommon=2, rare=3, epic=4, legendary=5.
  • Unlike Manny's Mishap, points accumulate permanently across all event runs, and each milestone reward unlocks as soon as you reach its threshold.
  • Synergises strongly with Strange Weather and other Strange mutation sources — keep high-rarity crops growing during the event to maximise submissions.
Manny

Manny · Hourly Visitor — Rewards

Event Platform — hourly visitor

Overview

  • Timed travelling merchant who appears every hour on the hour at the event platform and stays for roughly 5 minutes.
  • During his visit, Apple, Corn, and Cabbage fruits fall around the platform — the same collection mechanic as the Manny's Mishap weather event.
  • Each fruit grants points (Cabbage = 3, Apple = 2, Corn = 1) which you can spend at Manny's shop any time before the timer ends; minimum 15 points required to redeem rewards.
  • If you don't spend your points before the event ends, they are auto-submitted and converted into rewards from a 15-item loot table — more points means more rolls.

A simple “town loop” you can repeat

Start by checking the current weather (you can see it in the sky) and decide what mutation you want to aim for. Then visit Bill and buy seeds that match the current or upcoming window. Plant them on your plot and use a Watering Can if you want faster growth, then let the weather roll mutations on your plants.

When you hit something rare, mark it with the Favoriting Tool first. Then sell the rest to Steve — bulk sell will automatically skip ⭐ favorited crops. With Shillings in hand, loop back to Bill for better seeds or upgrade gear with Molly.

FAQ

Is Bill’s shop restock synced with weather?

No. Bill’s inventory usually refreshes on a fixed 5-minute timer. Weather is random and runs on its own system. Treat “seed shopping” and “weather planting windows” as two separate plans.

Why does bulk selling skip some crops?

They’re probably favorited. Steve’s bulk sell will automatically skip ⭐ favorited crops. It’s a safety mechanism that protects high-value mutations and variants.

Is Super Sprinkler worth buying mid-game?

Usually yes. It boosts growth and fruit size, raising both pace and payout. You can sanity-check ROI with the calculator for your current crop plan.

Do Maya’s weight targets require one huge fruit?

No. As long as the mutation matches, you can turn in multiple fruits and their weights add up. The “Donate All Matching Crops” button makes this fast.

How do I connect seed buying with mutation profit?

Start from the plants list to pick your crop, then use the mutation entries to confirm triggers (often weather-based). Finally, compare outcomes in the Harvest Calculator and decide whether it’s worth waiting for a premium weather window before planting.

How can I get real-time alerts for seed and gear stock?

In-game timers on Bill and Molly show when the next 5-minute restock will happen. For community callouts when strong lineups or event rotations appear, you can also join the official Garden Horizons Discord.
